Everything you create with Yumeforge is made by artificial intelligence. This page explains how we label it, and what you need to do when you publish it.

What is AI-generated

All images, videos, 3D models, audio and text produced in the studio are generated or changed by AI models. They are not photographs or recordings of real events, even when they look realistic, and they may contain errors.

How results are labelled

Article 50 of the EU AI Act (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689) requires that AI-generated or manipulated content is marked in a machine-readable way, so it can be recognised as artificially generated. We do this as follows:

  • Images get metadata following the IPTC standard (Digital Source Type "trained algorithmic media", in XMP) and the name of the tool that made them. The pixels are not changed.
  • Other files are marked with the means the file format allows. Some model providers also add their own marks, such as invisible watermarks or content credentials (C2PA).
  • In the studio and your library, every result is shown as AI-generated.

Metadata can be lost when a file is edited, screenshotted or uploaded to some platforms. That is why the obligations below matter.

When you publish

  • Deepfakes: if you publish an image, video or audio that looks like real people, objects, places or events and could falsely appear real, you must clearly say that it is AI-generated or manipulated (Article 50(4) AI Act). For obviously artistic, creative, satirical or fictional work, a disclosure that doesn't spoil the work is enough.
  • Text on matters of public interest that you publish to inform the public must be disclosed as AI-made, unless a person has reviewed it and takes editorial responsibility.
  • Don't remove labels to deceive. Removing or hiding the AI marking so that people think content is real is against our acceptable use policy.
  • Many platforms have their own rules for AI content (for example an "AI-generated" tag). Follow them as well.

Yumeforge doesn't pretend to be a person. Our support is answered by people. If we add automated help, we will say so.
