Is the background remover really free?
Yes. You can remove the background from 2 pictures a day without an account and without paying. If you need more, create a free account: you get free credits to start and can keep going in the studio for a few credits per picture.
Which files can I upload?
PNG, JPEG and WebP pictures up to 4 MB. Bigger photos are shrunk to about 4 megapixels in your browser before upload.
What do I get back?
A PNG with a transparent background, ready for web shops, presentations, stickers or a new background in our editor.
What happens to my picture?
Your picture is checked by the same automatic safety check as studio uploads and processed by our AI partner. The result is stored under a random link and deleted within two days. We do not link it to you. See our privacy policy.
Can I use the result commercially?
Yes, as far as the law allows, as long as you follow our acceptable use policy. Only upload pictures you have the rights to.
Can I put a new background behind my subject?
Yes. In the edit studio you can place your subject in a new scene with a prompt, for example with Nano Banana or Seedream.
